In-service training course was offered to one representative from each of the 8 health centres to help them with the maintenance needs at their units.

The aim of the course was to train people in different areas -  Repair of electrical faults, designing a solar panel system, management of water, sanitation and basic plumbing and carpentry repairs.

“I was among the number from maintenance department to attend the workshop.  Helpful indeed to me just because it tackled different fields that showed no partiality.  It was very important we learnt to work as a team and also techniques of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and sanitation were shared to all members.”

“I would like to appreciate for the refresher course which was organised for the maintenance people on 5th March 2011.  To me, it was a very important course because I learnt a lot not only in plumbing which is my field but also in electrical especially the solar energy power and also in carpentry.”

Certificates of attendance were presented to the participants.  Each received new working suits and a set of screw drivers.
