The following are examples of some of the ways in which MACS supports communities
in Malawi. This small snapshot demonstrates
the
wide range
of
ways in which MACS is helping to improve the quality of life for people
in the country.
Donation
to Harvest
Help for water projects. Commenting
on the support from MACS, a representative from Harvest Help
said, "Thank you for the... wonderful news of MACS support for our water
and sanitation project around Mzimba. We invest a great deal of time
and effort in training communities in maintenance etc. in order that
facilities, once built, will last. We will keep you up-to-date with
reports on the project".

Donation
to the Malawi Mothers Union for Aids awareness raising
course.
Mrs Mkoko of the Malawi MU writes, "We have received
the funds you sent and plan to do the seminars in seven places
in August /Sept 2004. We will send a report on how the funds have
been
spent".

Donation
towards the completion of churches
Mr
Jawadu writes, "The walls are fully completed, roofing and plaster
nearly completed, leaving the window and door frame edges yet to be
done. We thank you for this invaluable donation which
enabled them
to come up with a solid permanent building".

Donations to primary schools
Here at Mpondas, a MACS donation has enabled the building of 14 school
toilets and the connection of electricity
to
3 teacher's houses.
Donation to fund the rebuilding of teachers
houses.
The provision of housing is an important incentive for recruiting
and retaining teachers.
